McCormick has changed their logo a few times over the past 100 years. The current logo shows the "M" in a blue font that has become part of the smaller "c" which is in red. Earlier logo styles show a separated lettering in one color, blue. The older packaging also included the name McCormick in blue which is consistent with the current "red" name label located below the cap. Early packaging materials included glass and aluminum containers. The containers provided more space for graphic logos and layouts as shown in this image. Apparently the image of the contents has remained standard of the brand over the years (as shown by the pumpkin in the image below). McCormick & Company was founded in 1889.
